MSCMP 2020 CONFERENCE POSTPONED TO 2021
It is my hard duty to announce the postponing of the 10th International MSCMP-2020 conference scheduled to take place in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova on September 15 – 18, 2020 to September 2021, with final dates still to be confirmed. The decision was made due to ongoing COVID-2019 outbreak, in solidarity to governments, countries, and organizations which are being affected by coronavirus and after careful consideration of the development of events with coronavirus in the world. Besides, the Moldovan government has declared the state of emergency till mid-May 2020, and it is unclear what will happen next.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly. We had to make this very difficult decision, but we believe that in this situation there is no other way out. The health and safety of our staff and the Conference attendees are of utmost importance. We believe postponing the conference is the best option to ensure a successful event for all participants, speakers, and our sponsors.
We are living through challenging times now. Please, take care of yourself.
We hope to see you in Chisinau in 2021.
On behalf of the organizers of MSCMP-2020,
With best regards,
CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS (MSCMP 2020), CHISINAU, MOLDOVA
MSCMP 2020 is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birthday of academician B.R Lazarenko - a world-famous engineer and inventor, the initiator, the founder and the first director of the Institute of Applied Physics. The spark generator used in 1943, known as the Lazarenko circuit, has been employed over many years in power supplies for EDM machines and proved to be used in many current applications. Many Lazarenko EDM machines were produced during the World War II years. Lazarenko resistor-capacitor (R-C) EDM circuit served as the model for most of the EDM machines produced in Europe and Japan. R-C-type EDM machines are still produced and used around the world.
It will be a forum for presentations of research findings and plans across wide areas of condensed matter physics, materials science and electrochemistry. It will provide nice opportunity of discussion and dissemination of the latest results on selected topics.
